Hi Scott,

It is really ironic that I would be reading your blog today..... It is my birthday, 7/09....

I could not stop my tears. I wish you the best of the best while you and yours go through this "hurdle of life". Laughter is the best medicine. I look forward to hear you and Erica every morning...

I have been listening to this station when it was BJ105. The MIX 105.1 family ROCKS!!!

Aloha for now.... hang loose !!!

I used to listen to you every morning until I got a job that doesn't require me to get up til after 10 a.m. I moved to Florida for work, no family or friends here, but you and your show was almost like a family, listening to Jay talk about his pool, and you with your band. I admire your humor and your courage, and I know I don't know you, but I feel this couldn't have happened to a better person, and the silver lining is that someone as respected and just downright nice as you can maybe bring about more awareness. Good luck and warmest regards to you and your family.

Hi Scott,

I just wanted to let you know how much I love listening to you and Erica and Jay each morning. My alarm goes off at 6, but I won't get up until I hear about how each of you spent the prior rest of the day. From your "hog" and food stories to Erica's dad and cats, to Jay's baseball and pool stories, they make me smile before I have to hit the ground running.

We went through the cancer journey with our 19 year old son last summer. He was diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma. After two surgeries and treatment he is doing much better this summer. It really does make you appreciative of everything life has to offer.
Stay strong and positive. You are definately surrounded by lots of love and prayers.
All the best to you, Fran and Lauren.

Hi Scott,
I have to tell you.... I moved to Florida from upstate NY 4 years ago. In planning our move and mentally preparing myself, I realized that I didn't know what radio station to listen to when I moved. I had been a life long listener to a mix station where I lived and just couldn't imagine not listening to them everyday. They also had a morning show where I came to know and love the personalities. So what was I to do. I sent them an email and explained my dilema to them and they got back to me via telephone. They broke some rules and gave me 105.1 for a referral and since you were not a sister station they wanted to keep the referral on the hush. He (my NY guy) told me that when he visits FL, it is you and Erica that he listens too and gave you the highest recommendations. Boy was he right. I have listened ever since and you, Fran, Lauren, Erica and Jay have all become a part of my life.

Now saying all that, you all have also become part of my son's life. He is 5 and has been an avid listener since he was 3. That all began from me listening in the car taking him to day care and now pre school. Now his Dad drives him to school and you better bet he makes Dad put the radio on 105.1. He knows all your names as well as your call letters and he loves to play along with your games. He especially likes the $25 pyramid and it is hysterical to listen to him shout out answers but his favorite is Fact or Fiction. I think that is because he has a 50-50 chance at being correct. And of course - we can't forget the Friday song which he sings along to every Friday. (including the animal sounds)

I just wanted to let you know just how far stretched your goodness has gone and how it has touched lives young and old and even your competing stations in NY. I will write more later as there are some things I want say regarding yours and your family's fight against cancer but for now the boss says lunch time is over.

God Bless,
Kelly

Scott,

I read the news (how odd, that I missed the radio announcement, since I am "permatuned" to 105.1) and was devastated.

You, Erica and Jay feel like family. I have been a faithful listener for many many years and am so sorry that you have to experience this.

Now, go and kick some cancer a$$. You can do it.

Dear Scott,

Wow, I am totally amazed at your outlook and strength. I so know how a positive attitude is everything in everything we do and us having to overcome any obstacles. I so admire you and respect you. I too was moved to tears when you gave the news. Like you said, it can all be over in a blink of an eye; or we can have the opportunity to fight the battle. I have never met you or Erica, but listen to you every morning and so appreciate you both. I try to call, but can never get through. Goes to show how popular you are. I wish you and your family the very best. Keep laughing and making other people laugh and you will get through this with a bright outlook. May peace and strength be with you. All the best! Greta

I moved here to central florida (from UK) in 1988 and was at first dismayed at the lack of decent morning radio --but then I discovered the Scott & Erica show when I was pregnant with my daughter (born october 1991) and have listened ever since --I will even set the alarm for early morning even when I don't have to get up just so I can listen. The reason you have so many UK fans is that you & Erica have a British style sense of humor tinged with hilarious sarcasm and I have to tell you that Erica steals my thoughts & opinions all the time!!! anyway wanted to wish you the best of luck on your detour in the journey of life ---and next time when you have bad news can you wait till I have finished applying the mascara? - you should have seen the mess!!

P.S you guys are still the only decent morning show around (and I will add that you are the best in the world!)
